As a writer, Kelsey specialises in nonfiction and translation. Her translation of My World is Melting: Living with Climate Change in Svalbard was published in 2023, and she has a forthcoming children's book translation about a Svalbardian sled dog. She also teaches local writing workshops.

My most transformative travel experience
I think there are too many to count or compare. Every travel experience is powerful and has affected me in different ways. One of my favourite recent memories is hiking through the Caucasus Mountains in Georgia during early fall. Everything was gold.

My next trip will be to Australia for a few weeks of hiking and roaming around with friends.
