Secret Atlas Joins 1% for the Planet
As we mark the milestone of Secret Atlas turning five years old, we felt it essential to commemorate the occasion by not only celebrating, but also by giving back.
That’s why we've joined the incredible organisation 1% For The Planet as part of our birthday festivities! Partnering with 1% For The Planet is our way of reaffirming our commitment and passion to environmental responsibility and supporting the planet that we call home.
What is 1% for the Planet?
Founded in 2002 by Yvon Chouinard, the visionary founder of Patagonia, and Craig Mathews, founder of Blue Ribbon Flies, 1% For The Planet is built upon a powerful idea - that companies have an obligation to give back in exchange for utilising the Earth's precious resources.

What membership of 1% for the Planet means
It’s simple. We pledge to donate a minimum of 1% of our yearly revenue directly to environmental organisations that 1% For The Planet has vetted and approved.
It's a beautifully simple yet impactful model. By contributing a portion of our earnings, we're able to support initiatives that are making a real difference for the planet and future generations.
The process is broken down into four steps. Commit, Give, Certify, and Amplify.
Protecting the environment is a cause that all of us at Secret Atlas hold near and dear, both in our personal lives and in how we interact with the environment and its wildlife. This is why we chose 1% as a way of celebrating five years as a company that wouldn’t exist without an attitude of respect and acclaim for the environment.
