Questions & Answers

My most transformative travel experience

For my research, I needed to sample rocks from deeply remote parts of western Argentina. Places that are only accessible on horseback. I remember thinking, sitting on my horse and watching over the distant, pristine horizon, that I am right where I need to be. This moment has defined my life standards ever since.

My exploration inspiration

There are many expeditions that inspires me, from the discovery of the Northeast Passage by Nordenskjöld to the death of Robert Falcon Scott. But one stands above all, and that is the Fram expedition led by Fridtjof Nansen. Fram means ‘Forward’ in Norwegian, a precious word full of meaning that humanity tends to forget.

My dream adventure

My dream adventure is to sail around the world with nothing else to worry about but where to go next.
