Federico Beaudoin
Expedition Guide
Expertise
Biologist/zoologist, polar guide and teacher Federico Beaudoin has dedicated over 30 years to exploring and studying wildlife in some of the planet's most extreme ecosystems. His love for nature was nurtured in a truly special place: the iconic Buenos Aires Zoo, where he grew up surrounded by animals while his father worked as a veterinarian. This unique environment not only sparked his fascination with the animal kingdom but also shaped his commitment to conservation and the understanding of natural ecosystems.
Impact
Federico was part of the scientific staff for the Antarctic Institute of Argentina, where he is still involved in several conservation projects, including one focused on the forest raptors of northwest Patagonia, Argentina.
Style
Federico loves to share his insights into animal behaviour, helping others to see nature through the same lens. He likes to be a link between the guest and the wildlife they meet.
“I love the freedom that Secret Atlas give us to explore places with just a small group of people, allowing guides and guests to enjoy close encounters with wildlife.”
— Federico Beaudoin
